Yesterday they announced Bob Melvin of the Arizona Diamondbacks won NL Manager of the Year. What? No Ned Yost? Someone must have miscounted the votes, that or there was a problem of hanging chad. How could he not win after what he did with that team. He has the 2 best young players in the league but he had the courage to rest them once a week and take them out of close games. He had the knowldge to know to keep his starting pitchers in too long and put in bullpen pitchers that couldn't hit the blind side of a barn.
On a related note I think an inanimate carbon rod won AL Manager of the Year seeing that anyone could manage in the NL, maybe even Yost.

I am pretty sure that he got one third place vote for MOY.
I cast my MOY vote for the real manegerial wizard...Cap #3 in the 3rd inning Where's The Ball? game. Our summerlong showdown was an intricate chessmatch between two Grandmasters. Kasparov v. Deep Blue if you will. The scary part is I'm really not sure who is who yet.....but I know either of us could manage circles around Neddie. So look out NL Central.....checkmate???
