What gas crisis?

I went to get gas today, and it was $2.17 a gallon. That is the lowest that it has been in years. It's so cheap that I lined by trunk with garbage bags and filled it with gas. Now I am taking the gas from my trunk into my bath tub by using a an empty milk carton. As soon as I am done I am going to bathe in the gasoline. I love freedom!

Pricing 101

How is this legal?

Is it legal for those gas stations to have a higher price without advertising that price? I thought it was 100% illegal for any company to advertise one price and then charge another price, for whatever reason. If they displayed both prices, I know it is legal to charge differently for using a credit card, but this video looks as if there is no displayed price difference, how then is this legal.

Too bad I don't know any competent lawyers.

A bit extreme don't you think?

I was watching TV the other night and saw a preview for the local 10 o'clock news about a story that said "How one school district is dealing with the gasoline crisis?" Since I am not a fan of local news, I passed on watching and decided to read a 30 second summary on the Internets.

So they are dealing with the crisis by only having school 4 days a week? What? So instead of educate the populous so they can maybe find solutions to the worlds current problems we are removing them from school and dumbing the down. Brilliant. It's been awhile since I read Art of War (great book) but one of the ways discussed to bring a nation to their knees is to immobilize and uneducate their people. It seems as if we are doing that ourselves. Our national government is suggesting we not travel as much and now we are limiting our educational opportunities for our people.

Then again this might all just be because the school district is in Minnesota, no one ever said their governmental body was intelligent.

Gas 360!

Gas prices have finally come full circle. (Get it? Prices are $3.60 and a circle is 360 degrees.) Really? Gas is that expensive nowadays? These gas companies are making money hand over fist and are not in danger of missing any meals. I think this guy put it best:

Why are prices this high? I don't think the supply or demand of gas has changed that drastically in the last month or two, when prices were only $3.00. I know we are fighting a war, but come on people. I am not going to fall in line with all those hippies out there and start walking or taking bus, but gas prices really are getting ridiculous. I might do what they do in Grand Theft Auto and just start car-jacking people and taking their cars, driving until it is out of gas, and then ditch it for a new car with gas in it.
