One

One is the only number, especially when you are the Cubs and only a week ago you had a six game lead, and now it is down to one game. The Brewers are doing everything they need to do, often relying on a little bit of luck (last night) and the Cubs can't score any runs to save their lives.

Getting the first 2 from the Cardinals is huge, and now we got Sheets and Sabathia pitching, let's take the next 2 and get into first place.

This is the most exciting time it has been to watch the Brewers since 1982, and I was only 2 years old, so the only thing I remember about those games is my dad yelling at the TV.

The Brewers need to keep riding this hot streak and finish strong against the Cubs next week. I'm hoping the return of Soriano doesn't provide a spark for the Cubs.

Editor's note: I find it funny that 2 months ago everyone in this town (especially Sports Writers) were asking to get rid of Hall because Branyan was their new savior. Now Hall has won 2 games in a row for us, and Yost hinted that the platoon at 3rd may be over. I have always been a Hall fan, and I knew the Branyan train would turn back into his old ways of strikeout king.

2 games does not make up for a complete lack of production that lasts the better part of half the season.
