1 Death, 1 Warning

Two major changes to my Dead to Me and On Notice Board Today:

First, Michael Jackson songs are dead to me now. I am tired of people playing his music everywhere now that he is dead. Its been 3 weeks now people. After he died he had 4 of the top 10 selling albums that week. Why would you go out and buy his music now that he is dead. If you liked his music, you would have already owned it, and if you didn't own it and didn't like it, why go out now and buy it? Makes no sense. Then there is the playing of his music on the Jukebox at bars. I understood that the weekend after he died, it would be everywhere, but three weeks later, it is still everywhere. Yesterday I went to grab a bite to eat and a beer at 2 pm at my local wateringhole, and some women put money in the Jukebox and played 45 minutes of Michael Jackson songs. Really?? On Saturday as well, I went to a bar with a buddy, and the bartender was choosing to play Michael Jackson songs all night. We left after 15 minutes. He's gone people, nothing has changed.

Second, the MLB All-Star Game Rules are on notice. If they want the game to mean something, like home field in the World Series, that is fine, but make it so those players who might make it into the World Series are playing at the end. The game is really only interesting in the first 6 innings, when the starters are playing, and then their immediate backups. After that it is scrubs who should have no determiniation of the outcome. It shows by the NL making 18 straight outs and 22 outs to end the game (minus one walk and a double). Look at some of the players in the game at the end and their team.
  • Adrian Gonzalez (Padres)
  • Health Bell (Padres)
  • Justin Upton (Diamondbacks)
  • Brad Hawpe (Rockies)
  • Miguel Tejada (Astros)
  • Brian McCann (Braves)
  • Jayson Werth (Phillies)
  • Ryan Zimmerman (Nationals)
  • Orlando Hudson (Dodgers)
Only Werth and Hudson are on teams that have a shot at the World Series. Why are the rest of the a**-clowns allowed to determine the home field of the World Series? I knew it was a joke when they took out Pujols for Gonzalez at first and Fielder and Howard only pinch hit. If the teams really wanted to win, Pujols would have never came out of the game. They need to change the rules. Either don't have the game matter for s**t, or allow the best players to play at the end. Maybe once a player comes out, he can come back in the game later. Or softball rules, everyone bats in order, regardless of who is playing the field. They could even consider getting rid of the rule in which every team must have a player represented. I also thought it was a joke that Tim Wakefield doesn't make it into the game (unless the Red Sox didn't want him to). The guy is pitching great this season and has waited 20+ years to make it, and then he doesn'e even play. Joke.

Thoughts on a game

So I went to the Brewers game on Wednesday evening, and it was a great game, with the Brewers pulling through in the 8th to go up by one, and then Hoffman shutting it down. (How did he not make the All-Star team? What a joke.)

The enjoyable part of the game was that since it was a weekday game, everyone around you wasn't s**tty drunk and annoying. What a welcome change from usually going to games on Saturday and Sunday when people have been drinking for 6 hours before the game. We could sit there, relax, and actually watch the game; except for 2 exceptions.
  • The family in front of us kept standing for some reason to watch the game. I didn't get it. They weren't standing to cheer for a great hit or a catch, just randomly standing for a pitch or 12 to watch the game. Do they not realize that no one behind them can see when they stand? Did they think that there standing had any influence on the outcome of the game. It was rather annoying.
  • Next to us was a family as well, a dad with his sone and 2 daughters. His daughters were probably 12 or 13 (hold your jokes), and that was fine and well, until the 8th and 9th inning. This douche bag, my guess being 18, came by and tried to get everyone to start the wave, but to no avail. He later came back and went right to the 12-13 year old and tried talking her into starting the wave, all this with her dad right next to her. This guy then came back in the 9th and just got her number and gave her his number, again with the dad right there saying nothing. They then started texting each other about 5 seconds later. What is this dad doing? If I were him I would have slammed this douche bags head into the concrete ala American History X, no questions asked. I don't even no the nerve that this kid has doing this with a 13 year old right in front of her dad. Nothing good can come from this situation, unless an unwanted pregnancy and an STD is a good thing.
Speaking of baseball, here is the worst opening pitch in history; and I thought I threw like a girl.

Random Rantings

SO, I'm just sitting around today watching the Fox Game of the week. It happens to be Dodgers and Cubs.

My first question is how the Dodgers any good this year, let alone have the best record. Orlando Hudson is hitting .370, but besides him everyone is around .270-.320. Their clean up hitter has 2 home runs and their home run leader has 5. I can't figure out how they have the best record. I guess it is just consistency all around the team, no one guy beats you.

The second thing that I noticed that was during the game they were promoting the Boys and Girls Club and some fundraising drive they are having. Cool, that's a good cause. Then after the little piece on The Boys and Girls Club, one of the announcers (I think Tim McCarver) said, "You know another great, safe place for kids to go..... Wrigley Field." WTF? Wrigley Field is the worst place for anyone, let alone kids. The roof is falling in, fans are drunk and obnoxious, there are fights, there is probable asbestos, and it is downtown Chicago. Horrible place.

On the sunny side of the street I found this clip:

Man I wish I were famous and could get away with that.

Random Thoughts

Yesterday I went to my last Brewers baseball game of the season, and it left with a weird feeling in my stomach, and a few thoughts in my head.
  • I am worried for the Brewers this year. THey have lost 6 of 8. They only scored 6 total runs in 4 games against the Padres (one of the worst teams). The Phillies are now only 3 1/2 back and we have to play them 3 times this coming week, and they have an easier schedule than us the rest of the way. Also, the team looks as if they are hardly trying, and they don't care. They were getting no-hit against a terrible pitcher going into the 8th inning, and no one seemed to care or to adjust themselves at the plate.
  • Ned Yost really is god-awful. he has no idea what he is doing within a game. I am also pretty sure that the players no he is a joke, and they don't follow his lead at all.
  • The Brewers really need to do everything in the power to resign CC. They are just a mediocre team without their pitching staff. However, next year with a rotation as CC, Gallardo, Parra, Bush, Suppan; they look pretty good. They need some changes in their everyday lineup, and their batting order. Order should be HArt, Hardy, Braun, Fielder, Cameron, Hall, Weeks, Kendall.
  • I really think they should NOT resign Cameron. He is doing jsut fine, despite his BA being a bit low. However, they really need that $10 million. I say Gapler or Gwynn can everyday play Center field, that or move Hart over to center, and bring up an outfielder.
  • They need to bring up Gamel to play third next year.
  • Kendall needs to rest more, you can see it in his game that he is tired. Plus Rivera does great every time he goes in randomly, imagine if he played everyday
  • I think they should move FIelder and Weeks this offseason. THen move Hardy to second, bring up Escobar, and my crazy proposal is play RIvera as your everyday 1st baseman. Then this off season resign CC and go after another bat that plays outfield, first base, or third base (in that order).

Great Eye

The Brewers won again last night, but this is not a Brewers victory post again. (They should have been able to score more than 3, I think they left 10+ on base). This is a post about the best player in the league, Albert Pujols. Yes, he was 0-4 last night with a strikeout, but he is the best overall player in the league, this year, I'd argue the best in the past 5 years, with the only one close being A-Rod.

Pujols struck out last night, making a grand total of 31 on the year. 31? For an everyday player who doesn't get very many good pitches per at bat to hit. To put that in perspective, Ryan Howard has 133 strikeouts (he had 199 last year), Carlos Delgado has 79,Derrick Lee has 69, Lance Berkman has 65, and even the mighty A-rod has 62. For his career Pujols has a strikeout every 2.5 games, compare that to someone like Geoff Jenkins who averaged 2.5 strikeouts per game. A-rod has struck out once every 1.2 games and Ryan Howard has a strikeout once every .8 games throughout their career.

Watching the game last night you get worried every time that Pujols comes up to bat, it doesn't matter the score or the situation. He can hit a home run at any time, but he doesn't try to hit a home run usually. He kills you by hitting base hits and starting rallies. He should win the NL MVP again this year, he is the only reason the Cardinals are even doing anything. Please if Chase Utley wins the award I will throw up. That guy had 2 great months, but has really come back down to earth, and the Phillies have more good players than the Cards.

He won the MVP once, but I argue he should have won it the year before when he finished 2nd to Barry Bonds. Pujols finished higher than Bonds in every statistic except homeruns, Bonds stats were higher the year before, and Bonds was juiced. The Cardinals also had a better ecord and made the World Series. Pujols should have also won in two years later when he was 2nd to Ryan Howard. Again he finished higher in every category except home runs, and the Cardinals won the World Series.

Also in a day and age when most sports celebrities are a**-holes, Pujols breaks the mold. He donates much time and money to local St. Louis charities, and wants no attention about it. His step-son has downs syndrome and he spends most of the off season raising awareness and money towards this. He also scored a 100% on his citizenship test, so he's no idiot. I think the average American would score about a 55% on this.

Editors side note: I guarantee if Yost had not been ejected he would have had CC throw at Pujols in the 9th inning after Fielder was hit for the second time in the 8th. Thank god he was ejected so he was unable to Yost himself.

Edge of your seat ending.

Yesterday on Sports Center there daily online question was whether the All Star was an Instant Classic or Boring, and showing that the rules should be changed. Now since I have nothing else to do this summer I actually watched the whole thing, even after 1 am. My personal opinion is that after the 11th something should have been changed about the outcome, it became embarrassing. Both managers had a pitcher that they were not supposed to use but eventually had to, and the reserve players (the all star "scrubs") played 9 or 10 innings (twice as long as the real all stars). After 15 innings and a couple closers pitching 3 innings, home field advantage in the World Series was given to the AL. I hope that comes to be important come October so smug Bud Selig realizes how stupid this is. Home field to determine the champion of the sport should not be determined in the 15th inning of a 5 hour game in which closers and players from teams that suck (Rockies, Padres, Orioles, Royals to name a few) are the ones affecting the outcome. When players from the teams who will be playing in October (Red Sox, Brewers, Cubs, Phillies, Angels) are all on the bench. I mean Sheets, Zambrano, and Cliff Lee were pitching their best stuff but were only allowed to pitch 2 innings so all the scrubs could get a chance. If the outcome really mattered Sheets and Lee would have pitched into the 7th or 8th.

Here are my proposals:
  • Home field is determined by overall inter-league record, that way every team and every player is affecting who gets home field.
  • In the All Star game, if it goes into the 9th inning, players can come back into the game once every player has played at least an inning.
  • For pitchers 4 starters and 3 closers are chosen as active players for the game (that way they don't have 12 pitchers to try to get into the game) and one extra starter and closer are chosen that will only pitch if it goes to extra innings.
  • After the 12th inning, it goes into something different, like a home run derby or a three-legged race. The game is for the fans, and I bet very few were watching after the 11th. The last 2 1/2 hours were pretty boring. There was one inning in which Cook pitched out of a bases loaded 0 outs jam and Martin had a couple great plays at home plate, but that was it. If the outcome doesn't matter (like it shouldn't) lets just entertain the fans at that point.

As a side note shame on Yankees fans for harassing Pappelbon's wife because he was misquoted in the paper. We get it you hate the Red Sox. Sports rivalries are fun to a point, then they are mean. I thought it was funny when you cheered when Manny Ramirez struck out, even though he was on your team. But harassing an innocent lady, that's low.

Writer's Block

I have long hated on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. It is a "newspaper" written by idiots for idiots. They never really have anything of value to say, just a bunch of random words in a random order on the page. They also never have anything bad to say about any of the local sports teams, even when they suck. Today I picked up the paper and read this little nugget about the Brewers' victory last night.

"Starting to Turn Around" WTF? I would hardly say that the season was starting to turn around. They won one game against the terrible Nationals and 2 against the even worse Pirates. Big Deal. This is a long season and we still have only one decent starting pitcher, 2 batters actually hitting the ball, no closer, and a terrible manager. I would not say that things are turning around. It would be okay if our local paper wrote a real story that said the team sucked, was under-performing, and changes need to be made. That I might actually read.

Side-note 1: Look at the lineup for today's game. Why is Braun not playing in every game? I agree that Hall should be sat occasionally because his bat is useless right now. They do need to find more ways to get Kapler and Gwynn into games, but put them in for Cameron or move Braun to 3rd, don't sit Braun. Stupid. And then put in Counsell. What? Hey while we're at it, let's sit Kendall, the third best bat in the lineup. It's almost as if Yost has no idea what he is doing.

Side-note 2: To further prove that the newspaper is written by idiots, here is an article from today's paper saying baseball SHOULD use instant replay. Instant replay will ruin the game. That is what is beautiful about baseball, it is not tainted like other sports by technology and one player stealing all the highlights. So what, A-Rod got robbed of a home run the other night. That was a horrible call, but s**t happens. I even have him in my Fantasy League, and the bad call really hurt me, but such is life. Baseball needs to stay away from Instant Replay. Think about terrible managers like Dusty Baker or Ned Yost, they will run out there for an instant replay after every call to try to save face. The game will last 6 hours.

Side-note 3: Brewers.com has a weekly poll question and this week it was:
"Who should fill in as closer while Gagne is on the DL?"
What kind of question is that, it should have been:
"Who should be the new closer because Gagne couldn't close with a drunk 16 year old on prom night?"
Here's a question for next week:
"Who will be the new sausage in the Sausage Race after Chorizo takes over as manager after Yost is fired?" I'm voting for the Corn Dog.

Where good television is.....

I have ranted many a time about the terrible television programming out there nowadays and all the idiots who sit mindlessly in front of the TV watching. Shows like American Idol rake in 26+million viewers while quality and educational programming goes unwatched. One such program was on PBS tonight. They have a show entitled American Experience in which they focus on Americans living in America's history and their effect on today and how we view these individuals years later. Tonight it focused on Roberto Clemente and focused on while he was alive he was just an athlete but after his death he stood for so much more. Since it is PBS and they are non-profit, you can watch the whole show here and get further information about the great man.

It's sad that no athlete we have nowadays will ever approach the world-wide humanitarian impact of Roberto Clemente. He played baseball because he was good at it and his ability there helped him open doors in which he could help other through. Nowadays every sport gives away some award to an athlete who is the best role model, unfortunately this award usually goes to the athlete who gets arrested the least and has the fewest illegitimate children, not someone who actually does something to actually make the world and history notice.

Money Well Spent??

Baseball season is now 2 weeks old so I figured I would leave my first of probably many rants on the Milwaukee BRewers.

So far they have looked good enough and Yost really hasn't been able to 'Yost' the team yet. One thing that is getting me worried is the lack of any kind of production from Fielder. He has really done nothing yet this year. That aside, I still think the team needs to resign their cornerstone players this year. In order they would be Braun, Fielder, Hart, Sheets, Weeks, Villeneuva, Gallardo, and then the role players.

Looking at the actual team salaries they do have money that they could have spent on these players coming into this season, but should have next year for sure. By my calculations they should have over32 million. (That is just the salaries of Sheets, Gagne, Cameron, and Kendall), and if they could somehow move the salaries of Capuano and Bush and Turnblow, that would be another $10 million. They could resign all those players listed for $42 million. Plus Torres, Moto, and Riske make $10 milliona combined, and I do not know the status of their contracts.

As much credit I give the organization for actually spend money for the first time in 25 years, they may have spent their money worse than any other organization in the league.
  • Why do we need Cameron when Kapler is hitting the way he is now. He is actually feared out there.
  • With already 2 blown saves in 5 tries and an ERA over 7 Gagne is already a bust. Turnblow is a total bust and is useless.
  • Counsell gets one at bat a week and usually strikes out and hits into a double play, so why did we resgin him?
  • Bush just sucks and Capuano may never pitch again.
  • Riske and Torres are doing alright but Moto has gotten lit up in two games straight.
My one wish this year besides making the playoffs for the first time in 25 years is that the upper-heads with the Brewers stop spending money on these "gritty vets" and role players and spend it on the cornerstone of the organization.

Great Day

Just wanted to say it is a great day, I am sitting here watching regular season baseball, what could be better than that?

Now the anger-ranting part: why did Major League Baseball select the Sunday night opening game to be Nationals vs. Braves? These two teams are not very good. Why not a real rivalry like Red Sox vs Yankees, Brewers vs. Cubs, or even Phillies vs. Mets. Some combination of teams that actually have a chance to win their division. Also of note, I was watching Baseball Tonight before the game and one of the idiots on it picked The Braves to win the division. I know its The Braves and they have Bobby Cox, but come on. The Mets have a payroll of about $1 billion, the Phillies won it last year and have the same team, and the Braves lost Andruw Jones and added no one. I guarantee you right now that they do no win that division.

Also, George W threw out the first pitch.

Good Day

Today is turning out to be a good day. I just want out and bought my first Brewer's tickets for the game. Any day is good when you do that. Baseball season is so close, you can smell it.

Too bad too sad...

The Cubs were just eliminated from the playoffs tonight by the Arizona Diamondbacks. All that work and all that money spent, and three games later, back to your miserable lives. 3 games and they didn't even look good in any of the games, pretty pathetic.

It all goes back to my original theory; God hates the Cubs.

What a pompous ass....

I was watching Sports Center during the day today and they were obviously talking about Bonds. He is in LA and they were talking about what if he broke the record there, what would be the reaction. Obviously they would boo, no body likes Bonds. They mentioned that of any city LA hates him the most and then they talked about why that is. 8 years ago they played towards the end of the season for the division lead. Bonds hit a three run walk off homer and they eventually swept the series, won the division, and the Dodgers team was dismantled.

However, 2 things stand out about the video. First, Bonds was tiny in the video, and this was only 8 years ago. This was not video of his rookie season when he was only 20, he was a grown man, just wasn't on steroids yet. Second, after he hit the homer he stood there and watched it, took 2 steps, then did a spin move before rounding the bases. What a pompous ass.

4 1/2 hours of baseball later.....

Brewers are still in first. Went to the Brewers game tonight and there were some highlights and some lowlights. First the highlights:
  • Actually got to sit in the seat that was on the ticket I paid for. The last 3 games I have gone to there were people in our seats and we had to sit in other seats because the people were stupid to move. Its not that hard to read numbers off a ticket and sit in your seat.
  • I found out that the actually do sell Chorizo at the ball park. (Right outside section 421 for those interested. Its actually pretty good. Its basically this Mexican spicy sausage wrapped in a tortilla with some chunky salsa in it. Try it.
  • Villaneuva proved he is still probably the best pitcher in the bullpen.
  • Turnblow didn't blow it.
  • Yost didn't blow it, he did try though.
  • Mench actually had a great catch in right field in the 11th inning.
  • The do the sausage race again after the 12th.

And now the lowlights:
  • Twice in the 9th or later the Brewers had a man on third with 1 out and did nothing.
  • Moises Alou (41 years of age) stole a base.
  • There were so worried about Wright on first that they had a wild throw to first that allowed him to get to third, before Villanueva saved their ass.
  • Yost used our last position player to bunt. If the game went any longer we would have been screwed. Can't Gallardo or Cappy bunt, they both have good control of the bat.
  • Wise through 10 straight balls before Yost did anything about it.
  • They once again only used Villaneuva for one inning. He saved the team's ass that inning, and he is a natural starter. He can pitch multiple innings. If they had used him longer they would not have run out of pitchers like they did.
  • Somehow Jenkins was the hero of the night; getting a walk, a single, and a home run. Twice he was in scoring position with 0 outs and nothing, before his Walk-Off homer. He's still a bum.

The proof is in the pudding...

I know this is my fourth entry this beautiful Sunday afternoon but I'm bored, angry, and now the BRewers are losing badly. (Why was Turnblow in that long??? They will be tied for first on Tuesday, after they are done with the Mets will be 2 games back of the Cubbies)

I was looking at the paper. By looking I mean looking at the pictures because I can't read. On the page with the box score they had an attendance report for all major league teams. (They may have this every day but I haven't noticed it, so lay off edgrimley) To further show that the NL is a far superior league and we don't need a DH over here, the attendance average per game is 3,000 more than the AL.

Except for New York; every team in the NL has a higher attendance for similar or same cities. The Cubs do more than the White Sox, the Dodgers more than the Angels, Giants more than A's, Astros more than Rangers, the Marlins more than the Devil Rays, and even the terrible Reds do better than Wild-Card leading Indians.

Just goes to show that the NL is a better league, and America realizes that and more Americans go to NL games. Numbers don't lie (unlike my ex-wife).

Baseball Observations

Over the weekend I went to the Brewers' game on Saturday evening and sunday afternoon, and observed a lot about the human animal those days.
  • Its not too difficult to read your ticket and sit in the correct seat.
  • If you are in the wrong seat and someone tells you this, get the hint and move.
  • People from Illinois do not understand the concept of turning lanes and merging.
  • Don't bring a two month old baby to a baseball game.
  • Ned Yost makes some the most bizarre decisions I have ever seen, yet every so often one works and idiot baseball analysts call him a genius.
  • If drunk enough you will drink a warm beer after the game that was sitting in the trunk all game.
  • Gambling on anything is fun.
  • Don't honk while in bumper-to-bumper traffic trying to get out after the game.
  • When leaving the parking lot, it is okay to let someone in in front of you.
  • Its okay to sit throughout the game and watch it, you don't have to be constantly walking around the ballpark.
  • Remember that some families go to these games and there are children around, so watch your language and try not to act like a complete idiot.

I'm going to the baseball game tonight with a group of 4th grade students, we'll see how my observation of the ballgame changes.

Going, going, out!

That was one lame ass Home Run Derby this year, and it lasted over 3 hours, something needs to be done here. In the first round the leader had 5 home runs, and the winner had 3 in the final round (the second round wasn't terrible). What the hell is the deal with this?? We came to watch people hit home runs, and a total of 74 were hit during 140 outs, not impressive. I don't know if it was the ballpark, the weather, the time of day, or what. I think that players are becoming worried about being worn out for the second half of the season and are not giving their all. Prince Fielder only had 3 homers with 10 outs hitting perfect pitches, he almost averages that during the season with not-perfect pitches. They need to work on something to make this more interesting, and also not so long. Suggestions?? (Besides steroids)

You unoriginal bastard

All over ESPN last night and today were highlights from the Orioles game of money falling from the sky. A bunch of singles were falling from somewhere and all the fans and players were picking them up and laughing about it throughout the game. It turns out that there was a "big-timer" sitting in a luxury box who threw a bunch of singles out of the box into the stands. He thought it was hilarious.

It would be hilarious, if he had thought of it first. Last year a group of us went to a ballgame at Miller Park on a Saturday. We were playing a game in which we passed around a cup and either put money in, or took money out, depending on what the batter did when you had the cup. At the end of the game, after one of many Derrick Turnbow's implosions, my buddy "Snowman" threw the cup with about $7 in out over the edge. People around us couldn't believe that we would throw money around like that. We told them, "thats how we roll..." Somehow we didn't get on ESPN for that, but this second-act wannabe does, WTF? Get your own material buddy.

Now if Snowman would actually get his own blog, this is exactly something he could blog about....

Entertain Me Damnit

Went to the Brewers ball game last night to just sit back and relax on a Monday night. I would say "on a beautiful Monday night," but is was pouring and was far from beautiful. Everyone at the ballgame was enjoying themselves and it was a good game. The Brewers won, some good pitching, hitting, and fielding, and it was a close game. The odd things was there were two people there that for them that wasn't enough, they needed further entertainment.

There was a teenager (probably around 16) that was playing Grand Theft Auto on a PS2. Why bring something so expensive to a ball game, where something could happen to it. There is something seriously wrong with you if you can't even sit at a ballgame for 3 hours and watch a baseball game. He was there with a couple of his friends and they were all staring at his playing the game instead of watching the Brewers win. There was a full-grown man with a laptop, yes a laptop. God knows what he would need a computer at a ball game for. Keep in mind it was down-pouring, and I don't know how he kept it dry on his way from the car.

These people need to strongly consider how they use their leisure time. The Milwaukee Brewers appreciate their $13 ticket, but if you are just going to sit there doing other things during the game, why bother. You can sit at home and have the same affect, but cheaper. You may also want to get tested to see why you don't have the attention to sit around and watch a 3 hour game of baseball.

Idiot Athletes Part 2

I know what you're thinking: "Hey dude, its Memorial Day, relax." How can someone possibly be this angry in one day and have three separate posts. With all this free time I have had a lot of time to open my eyes and see all the stupidity in the world.

This may come as news to you but Barry Bonds is a jack-ass. There is no one who better symbolizes what is wrong with sports, hell what is wrong with America. Now he has come out with this. HE is considering no giving any of his record breaking souvenirs to the Hall of Fame. As he put it, "I take care of me." Wow, I may not agree in the manner that he did it but, I think Curt Shilling was right. Bonds is just a bad-person.

This game, that you claim to love, has given you everything you have in life. Now you have cheated to get one of its most prized records, and you will give you nothing in return. Class-act. I feel bad for his son, what chance does he have to not grow up and become a jack-ass. After he retires Bonds is going to have to become more of a recluse than Howard Hughes. He has no place in normal-functioning society.

I donated every one of my record breaking souvenirs to the Hall when I retired (was forced out of the league. My magnet-filled ball, my jet-filled shoes, my mace, my voice enhancer used to leave threatening phone calls on other player's phones, the boxing glove I used when I rushed the mound, the tracking device I used to stalk that umpire, and the wire cutter I used to cut the breaks of the entire New York Mets team. Thats because I am a good guy and give back to the game I love.
